Steinway Artist Gerardo Teissonnière will conduct a master class with selected young artists open to the public. RSVP to Steinway Gallery Cleveland is required and student admission is free. Student performers must submit a letter of application to Mr. Teissonnière with YouTube video links of their own performances of two contrasting works of their choice from the standard classical piano literature by December 31, 2019. A maximum of four performers will be selected to perform in the class and will be notified by January 5, 2020. Works include excerpts from the Mass in C major, and the Cleveland Première of Jake Runestad’s “A Silence Haunts Me”, based on text from the Heligenstadt Testament. Acclaimed organist Jonathan Moyer joins the Beethoven Festival Orchestra, with Gerardo Teissonnière as soloist in Beethoven’s Fantasy for piano, orchestra and chorus, op.80 (“Choral Fantasy”).
